Directions for Use

Product to be applied only by a Growsafe approved handler. Use in foliar applications when there is a risk of Psa in Kiwifruit ( Limited claim only ).
This claim is currently supported by limited efficacy and plant data safety and is therefore not fully proven at this stage. Monitoring of vines for signs of phytotoxicity is recommended. Any adverse event from the use of this product must be notified to Micro-Nutrients NZ Ltd, Tel. 027 2820199.

General Warning: Excessive use of copper can result in phytotoxic damage to vegetative growth and fruit. Do not exceed dosage rates. Shake container before use.

For established vines

Bud break to fruit set: 1.5 L per Canopy Ha, 4 - 5 applications, Fruit set to harvest, 1 L per Canopy Ha, no more than 4 applications. Post harvest, 1.5 L per canopy Ha. Repeat at leaf fall if there is a gap of 10 or more days between events. Dormant period, 1 – 3 applications at 1.5 L per Canopy Ha. Give priority to coverage during and immediately after winter pruning.

Ensure at least 10 days between applications, best if applied before a wet weather event, or immediately thereafter (but do not apply when canopy is wet).

Recommended water rate per Ha: 600L – 1000L.

Withholding period: Do not apply later than 7 days before harvest.

For glasshouse or nursery plants and recently grafted vines

From bud break to end of growing season: 8 – 10 mls per 10 L water, no more than 9 applications and ensure at least 10 days between applications.
Monitor plants for any sign of phytotoxicity and defer further applications should this occur. Target wet weather events (but do not apply when plants are wet).

Further Application Instructions:

Cover entire canopy of each plant or vine but avoid spraying to wet or to run off, especially when spraying young plants or vines with a hand held, or back pack sprayer. Check sprayer set up and calibration. Use fine droplet nozzles. Avoid the use of stickers/adjuvants.

Avoid applying in high temperatures ( > 24ºC ) and bright sunshine, or when the canopy is wet.

Treat preferably during early morning or late evening. After fruit set allow an interval of at least 1 month following the use of an alternative copper product before applying COPTYZIN.

Compatible with most pesticides, avoid mixing with oil based products. Conduct a compatibility test before application.
